One of the bravest things I could possibly do in my Year of Living Bravely happened this week in a small two-classroom school just outside Lille, France. Talking to 30 kids between the ages of 6 and 11 about my work as a writer - all in French. I took Alain along as bodyguard and moral support - and interpreter in case I got stuck - and we live to tell the tale. So waar as wragtag.
